Our Story

SAVEGhana (Sustainable Aid through Voluntary Establishment) is a Ghanaian NGO that was founded in 2004 and legally incorporated by the Registrar General's Department in 2008 with registration number CG147532018.

The organization started as a Youth Action Club (YAC) led by a group of enthusiastic young high school graduates who shared a vision of fostering community development by mobilizing the youth to initiate actions that would contribute to the overall development process of their communities, particularly in the Sissala West and East Districts of the Upper West Region of Ghana.

Due to the vision and ingenuity of its founding members, YAC was transformed from a community-based youth club to a vibrant and proactive local Ghanaian Non-Governmental Organization operating in the three Northern Regions of Ghana.
